Here are some photos from earlier this summer.

Several friends and their little ones (ages 7 months to 4 years) came over to help us celebrate. They all had fun playing together, the dog and I are still feeling a bit overwhelmed. Dad needs to take things in baby steps (pun intended).

Here are a couple of videos from Caitlin’s birthday cupcake – she was fairly careful with it at first, but later had fun playing with the frosting.

As you can see, she no longer needs to pull herself up on something in order to stand up – she can just up and stand. She’s working hard on being able to walk and do something else (carry a toy, bang a couple of toys together, etc.). This still normally ends with a crash of some sort, but she’s definitely enjoying herself and wants to walk around most of the time.

Going up isn’t a problem… down? We haven’t let her try yet.

She moves pretty darn well with something to hold on to.

And we made it! About 24 hours after the initial success, this was apparently no longer much of a challenge. She pops up all the time now.
